United Nation member countries do not hold the same status in it even though the UN Charter lays down that all member states will have an equal representation in the General Assembly of the UN.

Its democratic legitimacy is nothing but a myth. Thus, the given statement is false.

There are 193 countries at present as members to the UN and each member country has right to one vote irrespective of its power and size.

In spite of this, UN General Assembly is governed by a few major powers of the world and the underdeveloped or developing economies are given a back seat even though they have the right to use their vote freely.
