A carter set out for a distant village in a rainy season with his cart. After going a few of miles the wheels of the. Cart sank into the mud and it did not move an inch. The carter whipped the bullocks right and left but it was of no use. At last, he began to pray to Hercules, the God of strength, to help him. Hercules appeared before him and said to the carter, “Have you tried yourself? Put your shoulder to the wheels and the cart will move.” Saying this the god of strength disappeared. Then the carter put his shoulder to the wheels and pushed it. All of a sudden, the cart moved on. The carter realized the advice of Hercules.
