I do think both are evenly intertwined together -- one feeds on the other and vice versa.

BUT -- I do like stories where a character's actions affect the plot instead of a character being inside a plot already made for them, if that makes sense?

Like, with each action, there's an explanation along the way. Kinda like the real world
