Answer:

In ΔABC,

AB= 15cm (straight side)

BC= 8cm   (straight side)

AC= ? (Length of Hypotenuse)

By Pythagorous Theorem,

∵ AC²= AB²+ BC²

∴ AC²= 15² + 8²

∴ AC²= 225 + 64

∴ AC²= 289

∴ AC= √289

∴ AC= 17cm

∵ Length of Hypotenuse = 17cm.

Answer:

If this is a right angle triangle we can solve it by pythagorean therom and the solution will be

P2+B2 = H2

15^2+8^2 = H2

225+64 =H2

289 = H2

square root of 289 will be 17
