The string of beans are usually removed before cooking. What type of

tissue is it constituted of? What is its function?

. the string is a thick band of fibrous tissue that runs down both sides of the pod is made up of vascular tissues . it is a tough coat and hard to digest and also cutting the beans would be difficult , if we don't remove the strings .
