metamethoxyphenol is more acidic than meta methylphenol because we know higher the stability of of the conjugate base higher will be the acidity.

therefore when methoxy group is present in the meta position It act as (- I) because of the electronegative oxygen atom,which increase the stability of the negative charge of phenoxide ion by pulling electron density towards itself.
