Alkali metals are very good reducing agentsbecause of their great tendency to lose electrons. The reducing character increases from Na to Cs that's why k is the answer

hope it helps then plz mark as brainliest

tanu912: please explain because the answer is K and I dont know the reason
Jenny1981: ok
Jenny1981: hey check my answer now
tanu912: the correct answer is K
Jenny1981: ok
Jenny1981: now see
tanu912: but that Na+ ....and in the question its Na....its makes a great difference
Jenny1981: so i was correct na is the answer
tanu912: no
tanu912: thanks

Answer: Option (4) is the correct answer.

Explanation:

The ability of a substance to gain electrons is known as reduction potential.

Most of the elements have a certain value of reduction potential. For the given elements, value of reduction potential will be as follows.

Na = -2.71 V, Mg = -2.38 V,  Al = -1.66 V, and K = -2.92 V.

Larger is the value of electrode potential stronger will be reducing power of an element.

Hence, we can conclude that out of the given options K is the strongest reducing agent.
