The students in three classes are in the ratio of 2 : 3 : 4. If 30 students are added in each class, the ratio becomes 8 :11 : 14.Find the total number of students in all the three classes is :

now,
$2x + 40\ratio3x + 40\ratio4x + 40\ratio\ratio8\ratio11\ratio14 \\ \frac{2x + 40}{3x + 40} = \frac{8}{11} \\ 22x + 440 = 24x + 320 \\ 2x = 120 \\ x = 60$
so the number of students are

$2x = 120 \\ \\ 3x = 360 \\ \\ 4x = 480$
