Let X be the no. of students in the class + Total money donated by them.

$\implies \tt{x \times x = 2401}$

$\implies \tt{ {x}^{2} = 2401}$

$\implies \tt{ x = \sqrt{2401} }$

$\implies \tt{ x = 7 \times 7 \times 7 \times 7 }$

$\implies \tt{ x = {7}^{2} }$

$\implies \tt{ x = {49}}$

Number of students in class is 49.
