The process by which milk is heated at least 70°C for 5 -10 minutes & suddenly chilld (cool ) to preserve it from spoiling ,is know as pasteurization .

Generally,foods and other items are spoilt by bacteria or fungi so the process of pasteurization kill the bacteria or fungi .
