Small pox the the disease for which the first vaccination was made. It was given to people on a large scale that it was eradicated.

The scientists were shocked as they never thought that this would be possible.  Now the scientists wanted to apply the same theory to other diseases.

Measles and yaws had been dangerous diseases too. In order to help eradicate it, scientists tried to make vaccinations.

They knew it would be hard to completely eradicate. Hence they aimed to control the chances of people getting these diseases by giving vaccinations.
