In terms of its structure, ATP consists of an adenine attached by the 9-nitrogen atom to the 1′ carbon atom of a sugar (ribose), which in turn is attached at the 5′ carbon atom of the sugar to a triphosphategroup.

ATP or Adenosine tri phosphate is a high energy phosphate compound and this compound consists of an adenine attached by the 9-nitrogen atom to the 1′ carbon atom of a ribose sugar which in turn is attached at the 5′ carbon atom of the sugar to a tri-phosphate group.  


So the type of sugar present in Adenosine tri Phosphate or ATP is ribose sugar.
