\huge\underline\mathtt\red{Solution:}

\huge\underline\mathtt{Given:}

The polynomial=2x^2+ x-5

\huge\underline\mathtt{To find:}

The sum of the roots=?

The product of the roots=?

\rule{300}{2}

We know,

The sum of the roots=  -  \frac{b}{a}

The product of the roots= \frac{c}{a}

Here , a =2, b= 1 and c= -5

The sum of the roots

 -  \frac{b}{a}  \\  =  -  \frac{1}{2}

The product of the roots

 \frac{c}{a}  \\  =  \frac{ - 5}{2}

\huge\underline\mathtt\color{crimson}{Given:-}

\large\boxed{2x^2+x-5}

\huge\underline\mathtt\color{crimson}{We have to find:-}

The product of the root=?

The sum of the root =?

\huge\underline\mathtt\color{green}{As we know:-}

The sum of the root =\small \frac{-a}{b}

The product of the root=\small \frac{b}{c}

Therefore,

a =2, b =1 , c= -5

The sum of the root = \small \frac{-a}{b} =\small\frac{-1}{2}

The product of the root = \small\frac{c}{a} = \small\frac{-5}{2}
