let the equation be ax*x +bx+c
so sum = -1/2
-b/a =  -1/2
assuming a = 1
-b = -1/2
so b = 1/2
so product = -3
c/a = -3
assuming a = 1
c=-3
the equation is  x^{2} +1/2x-3
u can also write 2( x^{2} +1/2x-3)
