According to given condition
xy= 128 so x = 128/y
x + y = 34
Substituting The Value Of x
128/y + y = 34 [multiplying whole equation by y]
128 + y² = 34y 
y² - 34y + 128 = 0
i have came to this conclusion bcoz further it cant be solved without advanced method so i req u to recheck the question
