HI MATE...

Step-by-step explanation:

i am going to solve this question in a different way

given

sum=3n2+6n       --(1)

replace n with n-1

sum=3(n - 1)^2 + 6(n-1)

      =3(n^2 +1 -2n) + 6n-6

      = 3n^2 + 3 -6n + 6n -6

       =   3n^2  - 3       --(2)

now ,

subtracting 1 and 2 we get,

nth term =3n2+6n - (3n^2 -3)

              =  6n + 3

now,  let me explain, if the sum of first 5 is terms is 10 .This subtracted by sum of first 4 terms that is 8 then we will get the 5th term as 2.

I hope you get it now,
