HOPE THIS HELPS YOU :

(-2x^2+x+31)+(3x^2+7x-8)=ax^2+bx+c

Adding the co-efficients of like terms

(3–2)x^2+(7+1)x+(31–8)=ax^2+bx+c

1x^2+8x+23=ax^2+bx+c

On comparing the co-efficients on both the sides we get, a=1 ; b=8 ; c=23

Now, a+b+c=1+8+23

a+b+c=32

Thus, the value of a+b+c = 32
