Question:-

The sum of two numbers is 42.

One of the number exceeds the other by 11.

Answer:-

Let one of the number be x

Henceforth, The other number will be (x+11)

x + (x + 11) = 42

2x + 11 = 42

2x = 42 - 11

2x = 31

x =  \frac{31}{2}

x = 15.5

Hence, one number is 15.5

and the other is,

x + 11 = 15.5 + 11 = 26.5

Hence, the other number is 26.5

u'r done!!

Thnx✌️♥️~
