x+8+x+16+x+24=888

3x+48 =888

3x= 888 - 48

x = 840/3

x = 280

so -
x+8 = 280+8 = 288

x+16 = 280+16 = 296

x+24 = 280+24 = 304.

the sum of three consecutive multiples are 288 , 296 , 304 .
