Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number be x.

Let the first even number be 2x

Second number is =2x+2

Third number is =2x+4

∴ according to the question,

⇒2x+2x+2+2x+4=78

⇒6x=72

∴x=

6

72

=12

∴ First number =2x=2×12=24

Second number =2x+2=2×12+2=26

Third number=2x+4=2×12+4=28

Hence, the largest number is 28
