Answer:

Let x be the first number,

x+1 be the second number,

And x+2 be third number

Then, according to question

x+(x+1)+(x+2)=51…..(given )

x+x+1+x+2=51

3x+3=51

3x=51–3

3x=48

x=16….which is the first number

x+1=16+1=17

x+2=16+2=18

Therefore, The three consecutive numbers are 16,17 and 18.

Let the numbers be x, x+2, x+4

Sum = 51

x+x+2+x+4 = 51

3x + 6 = 51

3x = 51-6

3x = 45

x = 45/3

x = 15

So first odd number = 15

Second odd number = x+2 = 17

Third odd number = x+4 = 19
