The sum of 3 consecutive term an AP is 9and
their product is -48. Find the terms.​

Answer:

let the terms are a-d,a,a+d

here d is the common difference

so,a-d+a+a+d=9

=> 3a=9

=> a=9/3=3

again ,

a.(a-d)(a+d)= -48

=> 3(3-d)(3+d)= -48

=> 3^2-d^2= -48/3= -16

=> d^2=3^2+16

=> d^2=9+16=25

=> d=√25

d==> 5

so the terms are (3-5), 3 , (3+5)

=> -2,3,8
