The sum of three consecutive odd numbers is 213. Find the numbers.
Now,
We know that consecutive odd numbers have a difference of 2, like in, 3, 5, 7 and 9.
So, we can infer that all consecutive odd numbers have a difference of 2.
Then,
If we take one number to be "x". Then,
The other two numbers will be "x + 2" and "x + 4".
So,
=> ( x ) + ( x + 2 ) + ( x + 4 ) = 213
=> x + x + 2 + x + 4 = 213
=> 3x + 6 = 213
On transposing 6 from LHS to RHS, we get :-
=> 3x = 213 - 6
=> 3x = 207
On transposing 3 from LHS to RHS, we get :-
=> x = 207 / 3
=> x = 69
Now, we have got one number to be 69.
So, the other numbers will be :-
( 69 + 2 ) = 71 and ( 69 + 4 ) = 73
Therefore, the numbers are 69, 71 and 73 when the sum of three consecutive odd numbers is 213.

3rd= x+5
According to question
x+ 1+ x +3+ x+5= 213
3x+ 9= 213
3x= 213-9
3x= 204
x= 68
So,
x+1= 68+1= 69
or,
x+3= 68+3= 71
or,
x+5=68+5=73
