The common difference is 3.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : The sum of 3 numbers in AP is 30 If the greatest number is 13.

To find : It's common difference ?

Solution :

Let the three numbers of the A.P. be 'a-d, a, a+d'

The sum of 3 numbers in AP is 30.

i.e. a-d+a+a+d=30

3a=30

a=\frac{30}{3}

a=10

The greatest number is 13.

i.e. a+d=13

10+d=13

d=13-10

d=3

Therefore, the common difference is 3.
