Answer:

Step-by-step explanation

let the first term of the AP be a and the common difference be d.

sum of 4th and 8th term=24

4th can be written as a+[4-1]d= a+3d

similarly, 8th term can be written as a+7d

add the eq for both terms:

a+3d+a+7d=24

2a+10d=24

dividing b0th sides by 2

a+5d=12.....{Eq1}

we were also given that :-

sum of 6th and 10th term is 44

[so just like the way done above ]

6th term=a+5d

10term=a+9d

adding equations of both terms

a+5d+a+9d=44

a+7d=22.....{Eq2}

subtract EQ1 AND eq2

a+5d=12 minus a+7d=22

a-a+5d-7d=12-22

-2d=-10

d=5

now putting value of d in any of the equations for the terms given , you will get a=-13

so the AP is

-13,-8,-3
