the sum of 4th and 8th terms of an AP is 24 and the sum of 6th and 10th terms is 44. find the first 3 terms of the AP.

let a be the first term and d be the common difference .
Tn=a+(n-1)d
so as per question,
T4+T8=(a+3d)+(a+7d)=2a+10d=24.........eq.1
T6+T10=(a+5d)+(a+9d)=2a+14d=44........eq.2
so on solving eq 1 and 2
a=-13 and d=5
so T1=a=-13
T2=a+d=-13+5=-8
T3=a+2d=-13+2(5)=-13+10=-3
