Hey there!!

Let us take the first number = ' x '

Second number = ' x + 2 '

Third number = ' x + 4 '

Fourth number = ' x + 6 '

Fifth number = ' x + 8 '

If we add them, we get 100

( x ) + ( x + 2 ) + ( x + 4 ) + ( x + 6 ) + ( x + 8 ) = 100

5x + 20 = 100

5x = 80

x = 80 / 5

x = 16

First number = 16

Numbers are = 16 , 18 , 20 , 22 , 24

 \textbf {Hey there, here is the solution.}

.............................................................................................

Let the smallest number be x

The other 4 numbers are (x + 2), (x + 4), (x + 6) and (x + 8)

.

Sum of the 5 numbers is 100

x + (x + 2) + (x + 4) + (x + 6) + (x + 8) = 100

x + x + 2 + x + 4 + x + 6 + x + 8 = 100

5z + 20 = 100

5x = 80

x = 16

.

Find the first number:

first number = x = 16

.

Answer: The number is 16.
