Let the digits be x and y and the number is 10 x + y

ATQ,  x + y=8

10x+y-18=10y+x

-18 = 9 y - 9 x

-2 = y - x

x - y = 2

So the two equations are

x+y=8

x-y=2

By elimination method

2x=10

x=5 and y=3
