Let the no. be X
Then its positive square root will be √x.
So, their sum= x+√x
According to question
x+√x= 6/25
or, Let √x=y
then, y^2(y square)+y=6/25
or, y^2+y-6/25=0
or, 25y^2+25y-6=0 (taking l.c.m)
or, 25y^2+30y-5y-6=0 (by factorization)
or, 5y(5y+6)-1(5y+6)=0
or, (5y+6)(5y-1)=0
or, 5y+6=0 and 5y-1=0
or, y= -6/5 and y= 1/5
or, y= -6/5 is not possible bcoz it is negative. so, y= 1/5
or, √x= 1/5 ( bcoz we let y=√x)
or, x = 1/25 (on squaring both sides)
Hence the number is 1/25.

Hope it helped
