Answer is - Numerator/Denominator = 10/18

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the Numerator be X

& Denominator be Y

Here, it is given that denominator is 18

and if 2 is added to the denominator then the fraction reduces to 1/2

so Denominator - 18+2=20

Now,

1/2 of 20

1/2 * 20

10

So, Numerator is 10. Answer

x + y =18 ---------------------- (1)

x/y+2 =1/3 ----------------------- (2)

=> 3x = y+2

=> x = y+2/3

Putting value of x in eq. (1)

y + (y+2)/3 = 18

(3y + y + 2)/3 =18

4y + 2 = 54

y = 13

So, the fraction will be 5/13
