IN short, we can find the answer in the following way :
Answer is 63.
99 = 81 + 18 ( 8 - 1 = 7, so it's not the required answer)
99 = 72 + 27 ( 7 - 2 = 5, so it's not a required answer)
99 = 63 + 36 ( 6 - 3 = 3, this is the required answer as according to the question, the difference between the digits is 3)

So, the required answer will be 63.

HOPE THIS HELPS YOU DEAR...

whytho: this wasn't useful to me. I need an answer with variables and all
neosingh: let the no. be 10x + y,ATQ use eqs 11x + 11y = 99 and |x-y| = 3

prassanagarwal789: why it can't be 36
9959512475: 66+33=99(6-3=3) the answer is 3 then the reversing to digits by same number
9959512475: 11x+11y=99 =11(x+y)=99 x+y=9 ,x+y=±3,3+y=9=)y=9-3=6. x=3 y=6
prassanagarwal789: thats what i am saying ans van be both 36,63
