The sum of a two digit number and the number obtained by reversing the digits is 66. If the digits of the number differ by 2, find the number.​

Answer:

Let the number at tens place be x and that of at unit's place be y.

therefore, the original number:

10x+y

From first condition,

10x+y+10y+x=66

11x+11y=66

x+y=66/11

x+y=6.......... (1)

from second condition,

x-y=2........ (2)

Adding equations (1) and (2) we get,

x=4 &y=2

Therefore, the required/original number:

10x+y=10(4) +2

=42
