The sum of abscissa of coordinate A (5, 6) and ordinate of B (-4 , 3) is 8

Given : The coordinates are A (5,6) and B (-4,3)

To find : The sum of abscissa of first coordinates and ordinate of second coordinates.

Solution :

We can simply solve this mathematical problem by using the following mathematical process. (our goal is to calculate the required sum)

Now,

If (x,y) is some coordinates then,

  • x = abscissa
  • y = ordinate

Similarly,

  • Abscissa of (5,6) is 5
  • Ordinate of (-4,3) is 3

Their sum :

= 5+3

= 8

(This will be considered as the final result.)

Hence, The sum of abscissa of coordinate A (5, 6) and ordinate of B (-4 , 3) is 8
