the sum of acute angles of an obtuse angle is 70 degree and their difference is 10 degree. what is the largest angle .

x+y=70
x-y=10
2x=80
x=40
y=70-x
y=70-40
y=30
x=40
Answer =40

The largest angle is 40°.

Given data :

• Sum of the angles = 70°

• Difference of the angles = 10°

Let,the largest angle = x

And, the smallest angle = y.

So, x+y = 70....(i)

And, x-y = 10.....(ii)

If we add (i) and (ii),then we will get the following equation;

x+y+x-y = 70+10

2x = 80

x = 80/2

x = 40 (answer)
