Let the present age of Daughter be x yrs and that of Mother be y years.

Therefore , x + y = 55 ------- (i)

Difference , ( y - x ) yrs

According to Question,

Age of daughter ,x + ( y - x ) = y yrs

And age of mother , y + y - x = (2y - x)yrs

Using this information we get,

2y - x + y = 93

3y - x = 93---(ii)

y + x = 55

On adding , we get 4y = 148

y = 37 yrs

therfore x = 18 yrs
