Answer:

The sum of a,b and c before one year=81-1×3=78.

Since before one year, the ratio of ages of a and b is 1:2 and that of b and c is 4:7.

So, the ratio of ages of a,b and c=2:4:7.

Hence, let 2k,4k,7k be the ages of a,b and c respectively.

According to the question,

2k+4k+7k=78

or, 13k=78

or, k=6.

Hence, the age of b is 6×4=24 years. But this age is one year less than his present age.So, his present age is 25 years. And his age after 6 years will be 31 years.
