X+Y=60 so X=60-Y

X+14=3*(Y+14)

so X=3*(Y+14)-14

so X=3Y+28

Also, X=60-Y

So

60-Y=3Y+28

32=4Y

8=Y

X= 60-Y = 60-8 and so X=52

The present age of the father is 52 years old.
