Step-by-step explanation:

hello friend

present

let age of ram is x and age of Sam is y

before 3 years their ages will be x-3 for ram and y -3 for

Sam

so

given condition sum of their ages at present is 36

so x + y = 36 let it first equation

now condition number 2

before 3 years ram's age is twice that of Sam

which implies 2(y-3) = x - 3

let it be second equation

by solving second equation we get 2y-6 = x-3

x = 2y-6+3

x = 2y -3

sub x = 2y-3 in first equation

x+y =36

2y-3+y = 36

3y = 39

y = 13

then x will 36-13 I.e 23

so ram's age I.e x is 23 at present and Sam's age is 13 at present whose sum will be 36

also before 3 years

ram's age is 20 while Sam's age is 10 which satisfies the given condition that ram's age is twice that of Sam three years ago
