Let, son"s age = x
Father's age = 2x

××××××××××××××××
Sum of ages => 78
x + 2x = 78
3x = 78
x = 78/3
x = 26

×××××××××××××××

Present age,
• of son = x =26 years
•of father = 2x=52 years

After 5 years,
Age of son =26+5=31 year
Age of father= 52+5=57 years

I hope this will help you

Heya !!!

Let the present age of son be X .

Age of father = 2X

According to question,

X + 2X= 78 -----(1)

X + 2X = 78

3X = 78

X = 78/3

X = 26

Age of son = X = 26 years.

And,

Age of father = 2X = 2 × 26 = 52 years.

After 5 years age of father = 52+5 = 57 years.

After 5 years age of son = 26+5= 31 years.

HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU...... :-)
