(2x²-5x+8) + (8x²-3x+3)

= (2*1² - 5*1 + 8) + (8*1² - 3*1 + 3)

= 2+8 - 5+3 + 8+3

= 10 - 8 + 11

= 10 - 19 (here as per bodmas rule addition takes place first)

= 19 - 10

= 19 - 10 = 9
