It is an AP where, a = 3, d= 3, an= 999
so, we know that,
an = a+ (n-1 )d
999= 3 + ( n-1 )3
999-3 = (n-1) 3
996 = (n-1)3
996/3 = n-1
n= 333
now, a = 3, n = 333, & l = 999,
so, Sn = (n/2)*(a+l)
Sn = (333/2) * ( 3+999)
= 333/2 * 1002
= 333*501
= 166833
