the sum of an infinite geometric progression is 6 if the sum of the first two terms is 9 by 2 then what is the first term​

x+9/2=6

x+4.5=6

x=6-4.5x=1.5

sum of two term=a(r^2-1)/1-r=9/2

then from equation (1)

6(r^2-1)=9/2

r^2-1=3/4

r^2=1/4

then r=1/2

when first term is a and second term is ar in g.p series than according to the question

a+ar=9/2

a(1+r)=9/2

a(1+1/2)=9/2

then, first term ,a=3
