given

sum of areas of 2 squares =41

let area of 1st square=a*2

area of 2nd square=b*2

a*2+b*2=41

sum of perimeters of 2squares=36

perimeter of 1st square=4a

perimeter of 2nd square=4b

4a+4b=36

4(a+b)=36

a+b=36/4

a+b=9

a=9-b

we know that

a*2+b*2=41

(9-b) *2+b*2=41

81+b*2-18b+b*2=41

2b*2-18b=41-81

2b*2-18b=-40

2b*2-18b+40=0

b*2-9b+20=0

b*2-4b-5b+20=0

b(b-4)-5(b-4)=0

(b-4)(b-5)=0

b=4 b=5

a=9-4

a=5

length of sides of 2 squares=4m ,5m
