let sides of square be x and y ,
x² + y² = 640
4x-4y = 64
(x-y) = 16 ----------------(1)
Now,we know that,(x-y)² = x²+y²-2xy
put values ,
256 = 640 - 2xy
2xy = 384
xy = 192
again, (x+y)² = (x-y)²+4xy
(x+y)² = 256+4*192 = 1024
(x+y) = 32 --------------------- (2)
solving (1) and (2) we get,
x = 24, y = 8 (ans.)
