Answer:

our number is 89

Step-by-step explanation:

let the tens digit number = x

and the once digit number = y

A.T.Q

x + y = 17 --------------(1)

our number is form of 10x + y

if reversing the digit

then new number is 10y + x

10x + y + 9 = 10y + x

10x + y -10y - x + 9 = 0

9x - 9y = -9

divide by 9

x - y = -1 -------------(2)

on adding eq. 1 and 2

x + y = 17

x - y = -1

2x = 16

x = 16/2

x = 8

put x in eq. 1

x + y = 17

8 + y = 17

y = 17 - 8

y = 9

number is 10x + y = 10 × 8 + 9

= 80 + 9 = 89
