the sum of digit of two digits number is 9. If the digits are reversed the new number will be 9 more than the original number. Find the original number.​

Answer:

let the tenth digit be x

let the unit digit be y

original number = 10x + y

number after reversing the digits = 10y + x

according to the question:

x + y = 9 ................(1)

10y + x - (10x + y) = 9

10y + x - 10x - y = 9

-9x + 9y = 9

-x + y = 1 ................(2)

Adding eq. (1) and (2)

x + y = 9

-x + y = 1

2y = 10

y = 5

x + y = 9

x + 5 = 9

x = 4

original no. = 10x + y

= 10*4 + 5

= 45
