If the digits are reversed, the new number = 10x+y. As per the conditions :

X+y =9 ....... (1)

And, 9(10y+x)=2(10x+y)

90y+9x=20x+2y

20x-9x+2y-90y=0

11x-88y=0...... (2)

From (1),

Puttingy=9-x in (2), we get

11x-88*9+88x=0

99x=88*9

X=88*9/99=8

Putting x=8 in (1) , we get

8+y=9. y=1

Hence, the number = 10y+x=10*1+8=18
