Given : The sum of digits of a 2-digit number is 11.

45 is subtracted from the original number, the digits interchanges their places.

To Find :  the number

Solution:

Let say two digit number = xy

x + y  = 11

Number obtained by interchanging digits = y

Value of original number = 10x + y

Value of number obtained by interchanging digits = 10 y + x

10x + y - 45 =  10y + x

=> 9x  = 9y + 45

=> x = y +  5

x + y  = 11

=> y + 5 + y = 11

=> 2y = 6

=> y = 3

x + 3 = 11

=> x = 8

Number is  83
