Step-by-step explanation:

suppose thousand place digit= x

unit place digit= x

hundred place digit = y

tens place digit= 2y

By given 1st condition,

x + y + 2y + x = 26

2x + 3y = 26 -------- (1)

By given 2nd condition,

2y - x = 1

i.e - x + 2y = 1 -------- (2)

multiply eqn 2nd by 2

-2x + 4y = 2 -----------(3)

adding eqn 1st and 3rd we get

7y = 28

y = 4

put y= 4 in eqn 1st we get,

x =7

required 4 digit number is 7487
