Answer:

48

let the first digit at ones place be x

second digit at tens place will be 12-x

original number formed =

10(12-x) + x

120-10x + x

120 -9x

now interchange the digits

at ones place =12-x

at tens place = x

new number formed

10(x) + 12-x

10x+ 12 - x

9x + 12

according to the question

new number - original number =36

9x+12-(120-9x)= 36

9x +12 - 120 + 9x = 36

18x = 36 + 108

18x = 144

x = 144÷ 18

x = 8

original number is

120- 9x

120- 9(8)

120 - 72
